The main focus of Forget the Film, Watch the Titles is title design for films. Magic happens in the movie theater when the curtains open, the lights dim, and the opening title sequence starts. In those two minutes you are transported into the world of the film. It's the job of title designers to take you to that world - by setting the right mood with their opening titles. In an ideal world, that is. Film titles come in many shapes and forms. Opening titles seem to be a dying breed. Some of the best title sequences nowadays can be found at the end of the film.
