Hello, my name is Jose Acuña, and I currently make music under 3 different monikers:Claro de Luna, Ett Abigail and EUS.
Ett Abigail, Freqc streaming
Freqc is the second release by Ett Abigail. It is a radio-based work, exploring the shapes and sounds provided by some AM and FM radio frequencies existing in the Central American country, Costa Rica. The album consists of a main track, 'Freqc', and 3 alternative mixes of this track, using it's same source material but mixed differently and adding a few extra sounds.
The 19-minute track consists of two main elements:
The first element is the distorted, blurry and noisy sounds taken from some frequencies of the costarican AM and FM radio signals. This works as the backround sound for the track. Two live recordings were made for this part of the composition, using the 'Tune' wheel to change stations. The sound provided by the radio, and the body movement, affected the signal and the resulting sound. These two recordings were later mixed together.
For this first compositional element, the ‘Tune’ wheel was used mainly on the AM frequencies, where there are no working stations. All the bandwidth was plagued with noise and distoriton that changed as the wheel was moving from one frequence to another. Some of this noise was also captured on the FM frequencies; by positioning the tuning bar in between two frequencies, two different stations would be picked up at the same time with a subtle distortion affecting them.
The second compositional element is recordings from actual music and shows taken from the radio stations in the FM frequencies. These recorded sounds represent some of the most usual and traditional elements of the costarican popular culture: soccer game narration, religious (christian) shows, humorous shows, news programs, tropical music like Salsa or Cumbia along with many other sounds and musical moments captured from different radio stations are included in the work.

The album is intended to be a sonic journey to imaginary landscapes; you and your imagination decide where and how this places are, guided by the music.
The listener is invited to play this album both in a normal order, and also in a random one, as the tracks are intended to be played in many orders. This gives the listener a lot of possibilities: a different track order leads to different journeys.
It's recommended to listen this album with headphones.

The short film ‘Caída Libre’ is finally available to watch online, after nearly 2 years of production.
The visual film is the third and final platform of the project, that also contains a textual platform, and an audio platform. These are the links to the 3 platforms:

MUSIC FOR THE SHORT FILM ‘CAÍDA LIBRE’
Caída Libre is a fictional short film, directed by Andrea Morales. I took charge of the music on the film, as well as in its parallel stories, consisting in only audio. These stories are dialogues between the main character, Ramón, and other people. This dialogues are accompanied by nearly 30 minutes of music, split into 5 tracks. Only the first track, “Flotar”, has no dialoge.
The music is sometimes similar to Claro de Luna‘s previous work, but it’s a totally separate project.
The short film is scheduled to be revealed on January, but you can listen now to this special trakcs. It is important to point out that this music is different to the one included on the film itself.

ETT ABIGAIL: A NEW PROJECT
Ett Abigail is my all-new project; an approach to experimental music, highly influenced by the Musique concrète, and the sound processing. The debut album is scheduled to be released early next year.

A first demo appeared on 2010, inspired by shoegaze and post rock. The demo was succesful in the few circles it was shared, and it was followed by ‘Lo Que Ha Sido Y Lo Que Será’, another home-recorded demo, but more elaborated. This last release contained re-recorded songs from the first demo, plus five new songs,
After more than two years, a new album is going to be released on 2013, entitled ‘La Voz Quebrada’, with a more agressive sound than the previous releases, and a stronger progressive rock influence, but still with post rock and shoegaze presence.

EUS was born as a project to experiment with synthesizers and guitars, being the first releases under this style of music, but slowly evolved into an ambient/drone project, where experimentation with new recording methods is always present on each release.
Many of the albums of the discography are also collaborations of some kind with other artists, like Black Swan, 36, Mytrip, Saåad, Petrels, and many other great projects.
